Let's Attract Luck & Fortune This Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year is an important holiday celebrated by the Chinese community. This is also known as The Spring Festival. Countries such as Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore are the ones who celebrate this as a major holiday; but communities with the Chinese descent are also influenced by this tradition.
This holiday normally lasts for a week wherein it is spent mostly with loved ones and friends and the traditions never change thru the years. Putting up red lanterns and receiving red envelopes, wearing new red clothes, eating and putting lucky food and fruits on the table, as well as using fireworks to attract good luck and good fortune are part of the tradition.
But what does this really mean to all other nation? It is known that the Chinese are one of the wealthiest when it comes to culture, belief, history and its people. It shows other race that the Chinese were able to keep their traditions and celebrations intact; they still celebrate this occasion like how it was spent by their ancestors. So maybe it won’t be so bad if we all try to embrace a bit of the tradition they have done and maybe we will also be able to attract the luck and wealth they have kept through their generations.
In the business sector, one should be aware of this Chinese Holiday. This holiday is a weeklong celebration, which means, business transactions might be affected. Orders from suppliers should be done early and this holiday should be anticipated and counted in your delivery time and order preparation. Shipping and distribution of goods might also be delayed. Most stores and offices run by the Traditional Chinese families are closed during this time of the year. This is the time for them to go home to their families and celebrate this festive occasion.
2018 is the year of the Earth dog; this year, according to the Chinese Lunar Calendar, The Chinese New Year will be celebrated on February 16, 2018. Since the dog has very good characteristics and qualities, this year will be a very good year we can all look forward to.
